Owning cost?

Hello guys,

I am thinking of buying a new Nissan 370Z and was wondering how much does it cost to maintain a 370Z, ie oil change, brakes, calipers and so forth....

Thanks!

Oil changes $50-150

Brakes pads $50-200+ per set.

Calipers don't tend to be replaced until much farther down the road unless your upgrading.

Your big shocker will be when you go to replace the tires! They are not cheap! Being in Canada only makes it cost more to! Always better deal on tires in the states.......

Cost of ownership isn't much different than any other car and that all depends upon how you drive and your mechanical ability. Drive it hard and it'll be expensive such as tire replacement as LMB said.

Gotta pay to play. :P

No more then it cost to keep up my 3.5 Altima except for the tires, I'm looking at 13-1400 for a set of Pilot Super Sports.

:iagree: with all of the above!

Maintenance wise it's the same as any other car, if you are going to take care of it.

But if you start getting to modifying it then it will get pricey! Things like the tires can be cheap. But you will not be getting a high performance tire and the drive will reflect this. Same can be said for brake replacements.......and so on.

Like awx z34 said "you gotta pay to play!"

Thanks for the replies. Much appreciated!

In regards to oil change, can I bring in my own oil?
Is it worth it to get the Nismo rather than the 370Z?

Thank you

I'll be keeping everything stock, except for tinted windows and added security alarm.

Is it worth getting the Nismo rather then the 370Z???? I guess you mean a base 370Z with the tiny brakes, wheels and tires and open diff? Then yes I would go with the Nismo. But if your pricing out a base+sport 370 then no. IMO a Nismo 370 is not worth the premium you pay over a base+sport.

If you don't plan on doing much modding/want all the features then IMO just get a fully loaded Z! Touring/sport/Nav!
