Ya you met Mitch, lol!
Welcome to the lounge, and I recommend swifts for springs.

instroke 06-02-2014 08:52 PM

ok I got the Swift on order - w/spc rear camber arms and h&r 15/20 spacers. Some of the guys have been saying - after the install it takes some time for the springs to settle... any idea how long this will take?

I think I read somewhere - u guys meet up on Tuesday nights? at Timmy's Namao? Is this still happening? thxs

wheee! 06-02-2014 09:42 PM

The springs settle pretty quick. I hope you ordered toe bolts too. You need to adjust toe when you change your camber settings.

Meetings have been sporadic lately. Next meet is at the Z Car Club meeting this Thursday night. Google Edmonton Z Car Club for directions!

Or better yet come out for the RCEME car show on the base this Saturday.

There is the Z Car club like mark said, there is also friday night street legals at castrol that I sometimes go to (its $30 bucks to run your car down the track), there is usually a whole wack of cars at the united cycle/tims on calgary trail during the evenings on the weekends. There is also a big alberta G/Z group that does cruises usually about 2/3 times a year.

Alberta, and specifically Edmonton is usually pretty busy with car stuff during the summer months.

It was nice meeting you.

Mitch

Speaking of Street Legals at Castrol.... I have two sets of four Box Seats up for auction at the Car Show courtesy of JB Automotive! Come watch the action in style!

Mitch - how did you do on the Dyno?

instroke 06-08-2014 12:23 AM

:shakes head:Thumbs up today Mark! for hosting this event! Great job - and it was good to see everyone today and their rides - it's nice that the 370z platform has so many exterior options - and you can truely make it your own.

Coming from the Genesis platform the 370Z is refreshing - and I am gonna luv modding my ride. I wanted to stick around and see Mitch kill that dyno and see the Tank demolishing the caravan - but wanted to beat the storm clouds home, but found myself driving thru it anyways on the drive home. :shakes head:

a couple of the guys from Genesis club - asked why a 370? - I said - look at these 370's... and if you drove one - you'd understand. + knowing that James/Mitch are trapping 120's helps too. :tiphat:

body/paint shops?

Anyone know any decent Body/paint shops on the northside or westend?

edconline 06-10-2014 11:55 PM

Ask Mark. He just had his done, but I can't remember if it was north side.

wheee! 06-11-2014 07:21 AM

Depends on what you're having done. I went to Eastwood. Pm me for more details.

Lol. Well when it started raining the lady with the dyno said that they were done for the day, so I took off. Turns out she lied and they finished the cars.

O-well. I wasn't to happy with their organization skills, you think having a mobile dyno they would have had a tried and true game plan. I guess not.

Crappy - yeah I agree it seemed disorganized. I would have liked to jump on that dyno too - but nervous giving my keys to someone else. lol

Was looking for a body shop - just to paint a front lip. But I think I found a place.

Rec'd something from Kami-speed - a half shipment lol. Here is the pic...now I won't feel so out of place - since I won't be stock anymore... lol Still long way to go...

Make sure you transfer the plastic coil inserts from the stock springs onto your swifts. It stops the coils from squeaking.

Pics from the RCEME Car Show here in Adam's album!

I don't have this issue even though that part wasn't transfered.
