Dealer promises...?!
For those of you expecting delivery in May or June of your new 370Z from Sherwood Nissan; you may want to contact your salesman. It seems that those May and June deliveries may not happen now untill August or even September. In fact there has been one order that has been bumped to a 2010 model with delivery sometime next calender year.
Suffice to say my situation is very disappointing, yours may be too. |

If you can get out of your order there, there are probably still a few on the lot in Calgary...granted, I haven't looked since last week, but I would check with Brasso or Stadium Nissan. From what I have heard, Brasso seems to have ordered a lot (if not the most) 370z in Canada and they hadn't sold quite all of their allocation. They might not be to your spec's exactly but might be worth a try. I noticed a mix of base/touring, sport and/or manual vs. autos. The 3 hour drive from Edmonton to Calgary might be worth it! |

Dealer promises...
I really don't want to get into the details of my "deal" on this site. This is because the Dealership "people" do frequent this site, and I really don't want to jepardize my relationship with them. I'm still hoping to get a 370Z. My deal was such that, I gave them a considerable deposit (in the range of more than 50%) because I was promised a car in late June. This date was the so-called "latest" I would have to wait. Now it seems that the wait will be an extra 2 months. We'll see what happens.
For those of you who mentioned that I should try other dealers, thank you. But, I'm not sure that I want to travel great distances to buy a car sight-unseen that's not what I ordered. I'll keep you posted. |

Yes I did and I'll be talking to them this week. Apparently, Nissan Japan has been none too cooperative in regards to Canadian orders. From what I understand, so far, we have to thank the relentless efforts of a few sales managers who "stood on there heads" to insure some orders were completed this year. The unfortunate part is that some orders are going to be later than promised.
I'm just relieved that I may be getting my order completed this year and I have to thank the efforts of a few individuals that I'm getting one at all. Nissan Japan has really dropped the ball this year for Canadians. With the Canadian dollar improving in relation to the American dollar, I'd be tempted to shop state side for a new 370Z. My back up plan, if I couldn't get a 370Z this year, was to purchase a Nismo, state side, next year. It's kinda of a sad commentary that it's only May and Nissan is out of 370's for sale in Canada. Total bust IMHO
