My 370z got frozen
This is my problem. I got my car at a dealer and they gave me a key that wasn't cut so the only way to open the car is with the remote or smart key. I was going to start it when I found my car completely death. Now the question is; how I will be able to open my car, when this is death and I don't even have the cut key to open it manually.
I will really appreciate if somebody tells me what to do, if there is any way to get inside without screwing it up. Thanks. |

The only way to get in will be to restore some electrical power by tapping into a live 12V (direct battery) connection.
The easiest access is probably going to be from under the car, i.e. jacking the car up, jack stands and removing the engine splash guard. You should have access to the starter motor battery connection and pretty much anything else can be used as a ground. A battery jump box or battery charger will be the best bet. Once you get the door and hood open you can do a normal top side battery connection to re-charge or jump (negative still goes to chassis, not battery). Also an uncut key is not acceptable. Was the dealer ordering keys or did they lose the original? If they can't get a pre-cut key from Nissan then you should demand a new driver's side door lock and key. If you car is new I would also demand a new battery as this one has had it's life shortened by being drained completely, presumably from sitting around at the dealer.

thats weird. My 370z was outside when edmonton hit -59*C a few years back and the car started up on the first try...everything worked. Engine sounded like a tank starting up but once warm, it was fine. Car also sat for almost 2 months at the base, not plugged in, in the middle of the winter and started up fine.

Yes this is correct there's always super cold days out west in Canada. For me in Ontario come February it's normal to see any where from -15 to -30C. Out west it's even worse. Then add the wind chill and ya it's pretty F*cking cold!
