Just want to make sure.. you emailed directly to amuse for this?

The wing is listed as 98000 yen MSRP.. approx $1260 USD. Its really weird that they could sell you the wing for under $200..

Anyways... the cheapest price I could find online, sold in Japan, for 3 piece kit is 235,840 yen ($3040 USD), this is before any kind of tax and shipping.

I don't know how legit jazz's deal is, but personally I'd rather buying it from a US authorized dealer. Easier to deal with if anything happened during shipment, or anything wrong with the item.

I was able to get the R1000 $500 below your price and shipped out in 2 days and arrived in 48 hours at the nearest airport. I would support you guys if you guys dropped price a bit. There's discount from amuse as soon as you say you are a retailer and u guys are distributor. And you still add stiff amount on top. I'm sure you guys are at least making 60% and creating all these "JDM" myth.
And that's not fair for the consumers.

personally i think the only body kit on a 370z should be the nismo. The Amuse and 99% of the other kits look rice as hell and are overly expensive. But thats just my opinion

Or no body kit. Body kits are for kids in Honda Civics.

What an expensive way to ruin such a sexy car. Great way to turn your Z into rice.

Like he said, everyone has an opinion!

That doesn't really make sense. If you bought the R1000 new, it should have cost you at least $2000 (even if you bought it at the better exchange rates of last year), as it's 179,000 JPY. At the current rates, if you do a direct conversion with no shipping costs or duties it's $2355.26 (370ztune is selling it for $2350 on their site), so I'm confused how you paid $500 less than that. Either you bought a used exhaust, or you just got a really really really good deal.

By the way, most aftermarket parts companies don't make much money (less than 25% before credit card fees and overhead), especially with JDM stuff. There was actually a really good thread on the GT-R boards about this:
VENDORS - POST PRICES! - NAGTROC - The Nissan GT-R Owners Club

Well its not entirely impossible to buy them at a discount, if purchased directly from the manufacturer.. With the economy like how it is now, maybe they're just trying to make every dollar they could.

Just saw this. If you think we're making 60%, then you are very misinformed. After CC fees, overhead, inventory risk and all the other costs associated with the sale, most companies in this industry will average <20%; on Amuse parts at the current exchange rate, it could be less than that for some items.

Regarding the exhaust, Amuse has never sold anything directly to an end consumer in Canada. Additionally, they do not keep stock of any exhausts, so it seems like you might have gotten a pre-owned exhaust, which, whether used or not, would be cheaper.

I guess Japanese people really know how to make a pre-owned product look like a brand new product, EH?

Back in 2010 April, I paid exact MSRP listed on webamuse.co.jp and Amuse introduced me to an exporter who probably got 20~30% discount from amuse and he charged me roughly around $100 for air shipping.
didn't even charge me extra $150 bucks for "gold ring" option
forgot to mention, I initially ordered different color combination and changed a day after. They did not have A problem making sure my order gets to Vancouver airport in estimated time from my initial contact to them (2 weeks).

You guys make customers wait for like 6 months, take all orders from people saying "this exclusive product from the land of rising sun........... takes 3 month to 6 months to produce". Isn't it more like bundling as many orders as possible during that period of time to reach deeper level of discount and then ship it by choosing cheapest shipping method which is mass shipping my container??

All I'm trying to do here is to acknowledge consumers.

and I'm not going to shut up about it this time.

When I got the exhaust almost 2 years ago and posted review on the forum, you pm'd me telling me to take it off, because it affects your business.

Keep stealing money from people like that

by the way, I have to agree with you on amuse not stocking any exhausts.
BUT they do keep different sections, once order is taken, all they have to do is weld maybe 3 pipes together.

and Yes, amuse has never sold anything directly to an end consumer, but they referred me to an exporter. I spoke to Mrs. Tanabe on the phone.

As much as I hate to say this, but this is very true.

A friend of mine ordered a spoiler for his car last year (Will not specify car and wing model to prevent complications) from Bulletproof, which is one of Bespoke Venture's child company (same owner as 370ztune). It took over 6 months for his spoiler to arrive. While another friend, ordered the same item, but this time from a vendor on Rakuten, paid a little bit less than the 1st one including international shipping, and received it in 2 weeks time. The 2nd one was purchased 1 month after the order at Bulletproof was placed.

Moral of the story: Not all items are impossible/expensive to import from Japan yourself. It is more hassle to deal with due to language differences, and maybe limited end user support (Note: that I said "maybe limited", and not "NO"), but you might end up saving a bit, plus maybe get the items quicker.

Please also note that this post is not targeted at 370ZTune, Bulletproof, nor Bespoke Ventures at all. It is a generic message to tell people that what the difference is here.. Pay a little more to get full end user support + less hassle, or pay a little less if you think the hassle is worth it.
