Lower mainland gas prices
Hey vancouver/richmond area Z owners. How are you guys coping with the crazy gas prices nowadays. Today my Z had only 2 dots left and decided to check out the gas on my way home from school. Turns out the chevron i went to was charging 1.54/L o.o. I know a couple of you guys are from this region. What are you guys doing to deal with this? i never wanted to go to non top tier gas retailers but this is just getting outrageous. my DD driver recently started to die (Honda Civic 2000 w/ 320000km) so I have been using the Z as a means of transportation to school and work. Any advice on what to do? I'm stumped

i fill up when prices are extremely low.. other then that there isnt much you can do.
you can drive super slow and lay off the gas, but then its no fun. But prices these days are very weird. they change a lot throughout the day. Also, a gas station few blocks away might have different prices. i started noticing that about 2 weeks ago. |

So true. if we wanted to drive like a yaris we would have bought a yaris. hehehe you guys think its going to continue going up? Regular is close to breaking $1.40/L. I've never seen gas this expensive before.

I herd here in Ontario by christmas regular could be close to $2.00/L!!! Like wtf is that, is all I can say! At least we are not poor. You gotta think about the other people to though that can't even afford the gas in their older 4 cylinder econo box(some call them beaters)! This is getting reducilous and it's only cause by the greedy oil company owners BS IMO!

Yep pretty retarded! That's not even the price for premium either just regular! Let's hope they aren't right on this one!
Also cafiax are you using regular(87octane) or premium(>91octane) fuel for your Z?

Oh well.... here in Red-Neck Heaven, we're paying $1.06/L for regular and $1.16/L for premium.

Im pumping 91 Don't think anyone that owns a Z is pumping 87 just to save a lil $ and risking engine damage. What do you guys think is the reason why gas prices skyrocketed in the past year? Remember the good days 10 years ago where gas was $0.70/L. If gas was that cheap id be doing a 0-100km/hr at every light hehehe

Lol. U would hope they wouldn't but I have seen guys do it! Mind you it was a 350 owner but still should've been using premium. Should probably also say it was march and he was driving his Z salt encrusted.....

Yep. Time to get a beater! Or in my case put the beater back on the road(just got to switch insurance for the 2 vehicles). Only good part about winter is my monthly payments are cheaper cause the Z is on fire and theft. Then I can use the extra money for more mods and other fun times lol...... Saves me close to $120 a month! Not to mention the gas I save from not going on my weekend cruises. Lol don't do cruises in a rusted pathfinder.
