Glad To See The Z Will Stay A Unique Car In Canada!

Coming in at # 8 on the worst sales by volume in Canada for the first half of 2011!

The 370Z

All sorts of subjective reason around that:

- maybe lower supply due to Japan disasters
- lower market to begin with for a car like the Z
- lower supply to Canada

Whatever it is, glad to see it isn't going to become a 3 series Bmer with everyone and there brother driving it! I still like the fact I don't see many and my car is unique.

LMBmikeZ 09-05-2011 06:16 PM

:iagree: The same could be said about base camaro's and mustangs, as the 3 series BMW IMO........

Da.Menace 09-05-2011 07:30 PM

Glad to know that this is the case... but tbh, I see more and more Z on the street this year, and hopefully it doesn't turn into another STI-like popularity.

As I understand it most 370z's destined for north America were casualties of the tsunami.

Agreed!

Hate when I am driving and see another 370z on the road.
Of course I don't mean you guys ;)

It happens so rarely for me that I love to see another 370Z on the road. In July I did a road trip from Calgary to California and back and only saw 3 other 370Zs (2 of those in Huntington Beach) over 6,000 km, not counting dealerships. I saw about 300 mustangs, mostly driven by 50+ year old women.

:iagree:There are 33 different ways to "do" a Mustang. (And one on every street.)

dbw 09-17-2011 09:01 AM

Just did a road trip Winnipeg - Saskatoon - Calgary and back and did not see another one. I get as many if not more positive commenets on the 370z than I did on the Porsche.

LMBmikeZ 09-17-2011 09:08 AM

I also find now that this is the 3rd year people are seeing 370s I get a lot more questions about it because people know its a different car now. I am still getting just as many looks and attempted races from civic/srt4 clowns though lol!

A lit of people the first year said "they thought it was just a souped up 350...."

TheGreatOne 09-19-2011 03:19 PM

Ha, noticed the GTR is on there too

I'm also happy with the low sales, people think they are hard to get lol. I guess its one of the good things about buying a car thats not "practical" for everyday.

Seeing another one on the street is still a big deal lol.

6MT 09-19-2011 05:25 PM

Cameros are almost as bad as the Mustangs.

LMBmikeZ 09-19-2011 06:27 PM

:iagree: I have two guys at work with newer camaro's they love rippin on me! What eve its just cause muscle is just not my thing...... I'd take any equivalent import 2 door over the camaro or stang box!

Think about this... my wife builds the Camaro...

LMBmikeZ 09-20-2011 05:00 AM

So what am I thinking about?

All I am thinking is, why didn't he buy with his wife's discounts then:ugh2:????? Or was it something else?

His wife builds the car, and even with his discounts, he bought a Z. I have to assume that's his way of saying the Z is a better set of wheels!

Oddly enough, I was 100% convinced I was getting a Camaro. I love the looks. Went to the dealer with every intention of buying one. Then I drove it........and bought a Z.

1. anyone can get the same "discount".

2. I've always loved the Z cars. I also believe the 370 is a better handling car, that's just my opinion.

3. In my experience, GM Service is disgusting, I have received a vehicle back with a broken windshield. The dealership wouldn't own up to it, would not fix it, we went all the way to the top, President of GM Canada, still nothing, not even an apology. Another time, 3 hours to "fix" a warranty item that I was told would take 1 hour. In the end they did not fix it, they made me another appointment to fix it. I took the car home and fixed it myself in 15 minutes called the dealer to cancel my appointment and they had the nerve to ask me what I did to fix it. Not honoring warranty after being told an item would be
covered under warranty, Receiving cars back with grease on a light gray headliner... It goes on. It's sad to say that these experiences have been with several GM Dealerships, I have a hard time forking over my hard earned money for a vehicle when they don't honor warranty, and can't fix their vehicles.

4. I do like the looks of the Camaro, but it's too common. Also next time you see one have a look at the bumpers and gas door. They don't match the paint on the rest of the car perfectly because they are built/painted by another manufacturer. If I'm spending that kind of money on a vehicle I want it to look right.

Bottom line is the service. I'm big into customer service and the thought of buying a GM product with my past experiences only left me with thoughts of disappointment.

LMBmikeZ 09-20-2011 08:49 AM

I agree if I'm spending that much money I better feel like it was worth it!

LMBmikeZ 09-20-2011 08:00 PM
