If you want to deal with ppl who have been around the z.. I would highly recommend you speak with..
-Ed@ APH
HOME - Advance Power House & Dyno

-Albert or Frank @ Speedstar
Speedstar JDM Racing & Performance - Home

Both of these shops have been working on the z for a long period of time..
Ed @ APH is also an UpRev dealer and Bryan@APH has tuned many, many z's and g's with great success.

Speedstar is my goto shop for all things JDM.. I purchased all of my Top Secret parts from them and couldn't be happier.

You can also try Nextmod...Nextmod
They have been building up for the past few years and have definitely made a name for themselves.

They're not exactly cheap. More like, most shops in Toronto arent cheap at all. As I said, you might be better off buying them from sponsors on the forum, and get them shipped to Toronto. It might work out cheaper EVEN with duty and taxes and shipping fee.

True..I rather install all the parts myself unless is some kind of serious work that needs professional job done

I am telling you!!! Get them shipped from Pat@SMM!

Reality 02-24-2011 07:38 PM

I didn't know that APH had an online store..
-What did you get quoted from them?
... If you say a tt kit + install and tune.. I will lol and suggest that you go talk to them in person.

I really don't see parts being that much cheaper after you take into account-- shipping and brokerage fee's... Unless of course you are sending them to a mailbox across the border and taking the chance at bringing them over without declaring them...

When I purchased my TS parts from Speedstar. It would have only turned out to be $100 cheaper if I had ordered from BP Automotive instead.. (literally $3900 vs $4000)
-Local shops are held accountable.. while internet shops who mainly drop ship items cannot really be trusted to be accountable for anything.
-Shipping delays, damages, returns can be costly and a huge PITA.. Also returns have a huge gray area.. and thats if you follow the protocols set by the shipping companies and/if, the seller agrees to take the item back.

IMO -building a relationship with local shops can/will pay huge dividends... I know this from personal experiences.

But, I agree some parts that can be purchased direct from the main distributor or even manufacturer will be cheaper than having a local shop try and source it.
