Vinyl is expensive to have it done right. It's very durable and protects the paint underneath. Plus, if you decide to pull it off in a couple years, the factory paint looks like it's out of the showroom.
I've got my other vehicle wrapped in matte black, it's easy to clean and maintain. Although, any matte white I've seen looks like crap. Seems to show every speck of dust, fingerprints, etc..

Yeah, I can see how matte white would look horrible when its dirty but i find that matte black looks great on aggressive boxy cars like BMWs and such. I find that the 370z with its curvy body would look a little strange matte black. What do you think? have you seen any in person? mb il just keep my pearl white

I think matte black wrap would be frickin' amazing on the Z!
No, I've not seen anyone who's done it. I'm considering it down the road. I'd probably do a combo with the gloss blk roof, and try to find a nice balance with the CF. There was one guy on the forum who's no longer here, that had a black Nismo. He painted some of his mods in flat black. Hood, etc.. I don't remember his name, but it was one of the nicest looking Z's I've seen.

mostly labor yes. i think a full roll of vinyl (52feet i think) is about 1000-1500. if you have the time and patience to do it yourself you can save a lot. btw 52feet is enough for more then 1 car.

oh wow! your matte black Z looks awsome! how long did it take you to wrap it yourself? got a question thought, Ive got a friend who was considering vinyl wrapping her Subaru but went against it cause apparently cleaning vinyl is very complicated. Is that true? How often do you clean your vinyl wrap/is it any different than washing a paint finish?

I did it over the course of a week in the evening but I have some experience working with similar products.
Care and maintanence of the vinyl is pretty straight forward. Wash with mild soap and water, chamois dry and do not use a pressure washer or high prssure nozzle.

Your wrap looks fantastic!!
After fumbling all day with a few interior Di-Noc pcs., I can really appreciate your skills with that stuff!
