Did a stand still burnout today lol.

at least you did something.... southwestern ontario is under a snow storm (where I live at least) and I have yet to go outside or do anything yet its just snowing every time I look outside....:shakes head::shakes head:
now in the background I hear the nag!!! have you even shoveled yet???? rrrraaa rrrraaa rrrraaa :gtfo2:and shovel! lol I guess I need to go brave the elements! :wtf2: |
Well... A clear day turned into a snow storm and then followed by rain. Today I couldn't even open my doors. The glass was frozen onto the rubber seal and the window wouldn't roll down. Took me awhile to get the door open...ugh!
|
NASTY! I hate the way the doors are sealed!
I am so happy my beater (97 pathfinder) has solid frames all the way around the window! much less likely to freeze shut and not get open. It has been a crazy winter so bad here in Ontario one of our local ski resort was actually closed due to poor weather/too much snow! only the second time since it has opened! Snow closes ski resort |
At least you could pull that door open when frozen with the Pathfinder.... I'm taking my time to slowly break the ice in between.....ugh
|
lol ya yo should get a torch lighter or something similar, so you can heat the glass along the seals. I use one at work to unlock pad locks and open doors (on a all-terrain fork lift) at work all the time!
I am an Electrician, so ya it sucks........the being outside part especially in CANADA! don't know if people had seen on the news, but people near sarnia where getting stranded on the hwy for two days even!!!! CBC News - Windsor - Sarnia drivers rescued from snowed-in highway |
Wow... I would freak out if I were snowed in  I'll check into a torch lighter... Sucks to be locked out.
You gotta do what you gotta do but atleast it pays well? Can't wait til school is over and I'm gonna prep a new grill for install, mod a set of tail lights and do a few other things to the G which include maintenance. I have to do this in a parking garage lol.... Changing the oil in a friend's parking garage.., at least it's heated!!!!! |
I'd by wary of a torch lighter near glass and rubber, too much direct heat and it'll crack or shatter or melt the rubber. Need to find a liquid ice melt solution that is non corrosive and safe for rubber. Maybe that stuff they make from Vodka?
NG, don't worry it'll never happen while you are inside the car as the glass would be getting heated from the inside. |
the torch is fine as long as your not an idiot, I mean use common sense. heat it a little then try opening if it doesn't work it's still frozen try heating a lil longer ..... I mean come on, if you f*ck that up you are also probably the type of person who can't change their own oil or brakes. But nogood and my self I know are more then capable or realizing when you should stop.
