Really differs from city and city... However, the recent years has been very random. Last year, for Toronto, Winter started in mid-November, and for 2008, it started in mid-October

Winter tires are required not just for snow and ice, but also for cold temperatures. An all season - or summer tire (as the Z's have) will start to go hard and loose its grip at 5 to 7 degrees celcius(roughly 45 degrees F for our US Friends. Our tires are fresh and sticky so you will likely not notice this in the Fall or early Spring temps but I would not want to think of driving a Z through the Winter with out proper tires. Then again I hide mine 370Z away at the end of November and get her out in April.

Here is a winter question. I had a 2008 350 with brembos. I sold it and got a new 370, just a few weeks ago. Do the snows and rims that i had on my 350 with brembos fit my new 370? I have the sport package and the front callipers look larger then the brembos did. Never realy thought of this until I saw your post. The car does not go out much in the winter but just in case I get the urge I like to have winter rubber and rims on it for the season.
