Default Looking For A Hakone White

Well, after deciding to join the club, and after the horrible experience at Morningside Nissan, I'm having zero luck finding a Hakone White M6, Sport, NAVI. I was at Oakville Nissan today and they assure me there is nothing left in Ontario. Wait time for an order is a few months which means delivery as the snow flies - might as well wait for a 2011. It's late in the season and pikcings are slim, although if you can find one, dealers are ready to blow them out. Oakville had a 2009 Yellow 6M Sport for $38898 and a 2009 Yellow A7 Sport for $39498.

I've been sniffing across the country and so far, no luck. So, what the heck, lets see if anyone here has a lead.

Anyone seen one? Location really isn't an issue although I'd prefer Alberta. If I'm going on a road trip, might as well go to the plce tht has no PST and save a few K!

OK - disregard that - just had a reality check. I remembered what happened when I bought my bike out of province - PST as soon as I register it here. That means zero savings and double tax if I buy it in a province that also has PST.

Sigh......unless something crops up on the used market, looks like a 2011 in the spring for me.

You only pay tax where you reg the vehicle so no double tax.

Good luck with your search!

P.S give the guys at burington Nissan a call, they helped me out

So lets say I buy in Quebec, at the time of sale I don't pay QUE PST? I guess that makes sense, it's MTO who collects the tax here in ONT and I guess the dealer just pays it at the time of registration. If I got a temp plate to come home from another province, that should avoid the tax then????

Appears there is one in Alberta somewhere. An Edmonton dealer said they have what I am looking for. Problem is, I'm very skeptical because the price is very close to dealer invoice and it's not on their lot. They have to bring it in and the price is only a hair above invoice. Seems odd they'd they'd go through the effort to only make a few bucks.

$45,124 (only addition is tax, no "fee's) for a 2010 Hakone White M6, Sport and NAVI. Seems to good to be true.

If you purchase your vehicle in QC, just make sure the Dealer does not charge you PST, however make sure to have the document stating that you have paid for GST (sales document)
You will only be paying 8% remainder portion (of HST) when you bring it back to Ontario and register it there.
Just call local Registrar or the provincial government and ask them about the process of purchasing the vehicle out of province and bringing back.

As far as your finding in Edmonton, I was up there a couple days ago helping my uncle purchase a vehicle and to take care of some legal BS. Though, I DID see a few 370zs on Nissan Dealer lot but no White touring... only used yellow one for $33000 ish (2009, non sport) and 2010 Convertible.

Thanks, I will call MOT tomorrow and ask them about it. I'm very skeptical about the offer from Serwood Nissan though. From the research Ive done on 2010 Invoice pricing:

M6 $37,182 (Based on 2009 number of $36,682 plus the 2010 $500 MSRP increase)
Sport $ 3,667
NAV $ 2,292
White $ 150
Frieght $ 1,550
Air Tax $ 100

Total $44,941

Unless I have something wrong, ain't no way they are bringing that car in from another dealer for $183.

I think there's still a 2009 White w/Sport Pkg at Morningside Nissan, for under invoice. Last time I checked was 3 weeks ago, selling for 38xxx i think.

Yep, been there seen it......and won't touch it with a ten foot pole....it's got "issues" as reported in another thread. Thanks for the heads up though.

Had an interesting chat with MOT yesterday. If We from Ontarion buy a car out of province, we won't pay the provincial taxes in the purchase province because the car isn't registered there. We pay it when we register here in Ontario. We will pay GST at the point of origin though. As of July 1, PST and GST were replaced with HST here in Ontario. So guess what? When you register, you have to pay the full 13% because PST does not exist anymore and they have no way of only charging the 8% (you've already paid the GST portion). So, MOT called Rev Can for me and asked how they would handle that. The answer, you have to pay the full 13% and then apply to Rev Can to get a refund on the GST portion you paid in the other province.

Now, why do I see that getting all screwed up and me never getting my refund if I buy out of province?

Freaking taxes!

The search continues............

That's weird.. Atlantic Canada must operate differently then, unless the person on the other side had a wrong information...
I purchased my 370z in Montreal, had them specifically mention that i've paid 5% GST. When I registered my car in NB, I only paid remaining 8%

Atlantic Canada had HST prior to ON.

Who knows, laws change...

If you have a good sales guy he will transfer the car from the Edmonton dealership to which ever one you are using. For example my buddy GC @ Agincourt Nissan had a 40th in A7 (yes A7!!!!) and I obviously want the M6 so he had located one and had it there in about 10-12 days............good luck

o ya GC is no longer with Agincourt Nissan. But every other purchase I have made with Paul Coffey Kitchener Nissan through Ryan Kelly another great guy who can probably help you out......GLWB
