It could just be an artifact of scaling/smoothing -- dynapack readings often look a little "lumpy". Although I could swear I've seen another persons' dyno looking just like that on a dynojet... I need to see what the VVEL maps look like... tuning cam angle and lift is probably a b!tch to set right on these motors with a good bit of trial and error. Quote:
Yeah, like I said, could just be artifactual, but it would be nice to see the VVEL and ignition maps...

I dont think its the scaling/smoothing. Its SAE corrected and also if you look closely you can see the HP graph matches the TQ graph...whenever the TQ drops, the HP power doesnt drop but increases abit slower.
So in other words chinook, you probably could get abit better results with abit more work on the tune. I'm not saying Cam or whoever did it, did a bad job, but from what i understand you are his first 370z to work on. Once again, hopefully he can do a good job with my car.

Yeah Snakes it was Cam, The more I drive the more I appreciate the job he did, so if he can get your torque curve a little better, you should be very happy! Did you get a dyno done before any of your mods?

Their website isn't working and no one to answer the phones. Couldn't enquire and book today.

Just spoke with a good friend of mine who tunes 350's and 370's. He seemed to feel the OEM VVEL maps were already pretty optimized without changing the manifold... hmm. Dunno.
It might be goos to make sure the ECU isn't pulling some timing due to light knock -- I believe the ECU is pretty aggressive with that on this car. Could be something like that if the AFR's aren't warbling in step with the torque "lumps". How's it feel under load? Smooth or do you detect any hesitation?

Feels really smooth and I saw the tuner using headphones connected to a box reading knock sensor that was wired to the engine bay, so I'm guessing he was checking. I shoulda asked more questions I guess.

If it feels smooth under load and AFR's are stable (did they lean you out? I understand the OEM tune is quite rich!), I wouldn't worry too much about it.

So i want to get my tune done so bad and get a AP but i really need a Oil Cooler and its going to be time to upgrade my brakes soon since im doing alot of tracking now. And now im leaning towards road racing instead of drag racing im actualy thinking of selling the nitrous kit.
