Theres a place called Lightspeed Innovations in Red Deer that does tuning with COBB. I talked to Cam about dyno tuning my Z for nitrous...2.5hrs its going to cost $700. That includes setting up, dyno time, tuning and installing a O2 bung for a wideband senser since they dont use the sniffer

awesome ill have to give them a call last summer i had put stillen headers, high flow cats, g3 intake, and cbe and just recently the high flow cats threw my service engine light i was hoping a tune might be able to fix the problem.

If you know 100% there isnt any issues with the car try disconnect your battery for a few mins, usally that will kill the service light if its not a issue actualy going on.

Could be the gas cap if you change it the light could turn on or if not on proper.

FricFrac 04-12-2010 12:43 AM

... before you reset the ECU did you try clearing the code?

tyler 04-13-2010 06:39 PM

yes i took it to nissan they charged me 100 bucks and said it was my high flow cats and that id have to live with the service engine light. so i was thinking of getting a custom cobb tune for my car.

djpathfinder 04-13-2010 07:27 PM

Does anyone have their own CIPHER unit?

Reality 04-14-2010 09:51 AM

OP,
With the addition of those mods, you should get tuned asap....

WTF! - $100 to plug in the 'puter and clear the code - that's insane! You can get your own hand held unit - Crappy Tire had them on sale for $59 not long ago. Dealers suck....

Yeah, but those $59 units from crappy tire won't clear a fault code from the 370. But still, if you get the proper unit (CAN), then do it yourself.

djpathfinder 04-19-2010 01:30 AM

What do you need to get to be able to access the fault codes and reset them? Are they readily available?

Equus Innova 3360. Google it. Cost about $200 but does a whole lot more than clear codes.

Any "newer" ODB-II scan tool with the CAN (controller area network) protocol will do. These run around $150-$200. And yes, they do a lot more than clear fault codes. They will decode manufacturer specific codes and MIL issues.
