Who actually bought their 370Z?
Hi everyone! Just a question out of curiosity....and it isn't, in any way, suppose to offend anyone but did everyone here buy the Z with their own money? The reason im asking this is because $50,000 is a hefty sum of money to use on a car and im just curious who bought the Z with their own money. Paid all at once, or perhaps financing it? or maybe leasing it? Thank you!

first lesson i learned in business school was: how much you make is not as important as how much you spend.
if you control your expenses well, you would have $50k (or more) at the bank and other financial institutions :) |
Mick, care to elaborate your last line?

people who paid cash for their 370z don't make as much as Michael Jackson but they manage their expenses better and have more disposable income. |
@ sigpapa226: :P
@6MT: wow xD thats a lot of money! @mick: ahh i see yeah that makes sense....i know a few people who spend more than they make and now they owe banks a few thousand dollars @Tyrell Tyson: 75K?! |
<--- didn't pay for my car. I won it from the Best Buy / Need for Speed game sweepstakes.

omg that is so cool!! you won the 370z?!?! T_T
how much more do you end up paying by financing it? |
paid cash here! Lots of overtime was put in.

I'm stunned by your username, 소녀시대. lmao
No, I don't have a Z, but I have a G that I bought in 07. I negotiated and got a price of 40k OTD which I financed 20k at first. In about 3 months, I realized that it is not worth to spend extra money on interest over the next 5 years, so I paid it off in full. Simple interest loan FTW. |
@takayuki : yup...sounds like i gotta work hard for a Z as well ^^
@BLUESLATE: ㅋㅋㅋㅋ yeah girls' generation ㅎㅎㅎ the G37 is such a nice car..it looks so luxurious...kinda like a car you can pull up to a wedding in lol. Don't get me wrong, i'd totally do that in a 370Z as well but the G37 look adds a touch of high class, while the 370Z adds a touch of sportiness...i dont know what im saying..lol thanks for your input! |
I put 14g down and paying the rest off within 4 years. Did I spend beyond my means? Just a little but that's what my post 9/11 GI Bill is for. :D
Oh and 카라's better. |

As for me, I had a Trade in + small down payment + decent financed amount. My monthly payments are pretty decent. Only 6% of my income :D. |
ooooh i see haha thanks ak370z! 6% of your income used on your car isn't bad at all! one day, i'll come back here and share pictures of my (hopefully orange) 370z with everyone :)

Not only did Tips win his Z, but at The Run in Tampa he won several large prizes!!!! Lucky man!

Deal and Negotiate!!!
Paid most of it Cash and some on finance. BTW 소녀시대 are hot! |

hehe i think negotiating is a good way to do it...i practiced my negotiating skills in the streets of hong kong LOL 소녀시대 is hot :D |
Hate to admit it, Mick, but you're right on the money. I'm a federal employee and make reasonably good money, especially for Puerto Rico standards. Most of our life, my wife and I kept traveling, buying new cars every 5 years, dining out, etc. About 5 yrs. ago I "noticed" I was fixing to retire and actually started saving! I've got around $41,000 in the bank at present. I "could've" had much more, but partied too much with my better ½ when younger. Thank God federal pensions are beefy, otherwise I'd be in trouble!

If you can buy an apartment in Austrailia and pay it off in five years you would be foolish to go buy a 370Z instead.... until you own five plus units of course ;) |
LOL @ Mike. Yes, for whatever reason, I seem to be on a winning streak with my Z. Unfortunately, that luck has not transpired into other avenues of my life .. oh well... I can settle with winning the Z and Z related items.

how would i explain that to my insurence company "so i decided to drive my 370z in afghanistan and i ran over a IED, will you cover it?

I think that would be the LAST of your worries!! Don't panic, I'm TCCC! :roflpuke2: |
i know this got way off topic of the thread but oh well. Dont have to worry about IED's my WO just asked me if i wanted a posting to gagetown, since me and my gf are from halifax and the fact we hate edmonton....i accepted. Very high chance of me getting my PLQ and promoted now. I wonder if my nitrous kit will cause my car to fail safety inspections...lol
