I go to TMP sometimes because its so close but I always feel nervous there going into a corner with cars all around and just feet between the cars. Most of the times Ive been there the group were all nice people but no one is following any rules on the track and no one is enforcing anything.

Im an amature track day enthusiast myself so going into a corner with cars very closely grouped and a few of us not being able to hold the line perfectly everytime is not a good thing.

Maybe this early season incident there will force a positive change.

I've been to a few HPDE events at Mosport hosted by Driveteq.ca and they're super professional. Nothing like what I saw in the videos at Cayuga.

Tonight at Grand Bend is cancelled due to severe weather in the forecast.
When your track actually has marshals standing out in the open, you have to protect them!

Next evening is June 24.
Also just added: a full day of lapping on Canada Day, July 1.

Grand Bend is doing open lapping on Civic Holiday Monday (I think you Torontonians call that Simcoe Day or something), August 3rd. 11am - 5pm. Should be up on their website to register by tomorrow.

The summer is flying by fast, and this is one thing you can safely do in isolation!!!!

Would be nice to see a few more 370Z's there. One comes regularly.

Is anyone looking to do a open lapping day at cayuga? I prepaid for one pre lockdown and looking to redeem it soon. Would love to meetup with some fellow Z members.

Grand Bend just confirmed open lapping for Labour Day Monday, Sept 7, if anyone is interested. They will be running the modified course, probably clockwise.
