09 Touring LSD?
2009 NISSAN 370z Touring
I'm wondering if Canadian non-Sport Zs came with an LSD. If I am correct in my understanding, the older 240sx came with an LSD standard in Canada whereas the US counterparts did not. Is Nissan still doing this? I've jacked up the car and did the wheel spin method however I got 2 different results. Once I did it in neutral, the other time in 1st gear. I can't remember which produced which result but still left me wondering at the end. I've done some road testing and sometimes it feels like it's locking up but other times I do experience some peg-legging. Anyone have any info on this? Thanks in advance. |

pretty sure non-sport model Zs do not have limited slip differential it goes on until now. Do you have the 19"wheel stock rays and the sport brakes or the syncrorev match button? If you dont have any of these features then you most likely not have LSD

Yes, from what I discovered "non-sport" Canadian Zs in 2009 at least had the OEM viscous LSD. I figured it out while removing my differential to install my Nismo plated LSD. My car is a 2009 Touring without the Akebonos, synchro rev match, etc.
While it does have the viscous diff, your driving experiences tell the story that it is in fact pretty weak for any real type of performance driving. I swapped mine to the Nismo plated clutch unit for track duty. |

The 2009 Nissan 370Z brochure for Canada shows that the Grand Touring coupe or Roadster had the Vicious Limited Slip Differential in auto or manual. Worth noting that only a Sports model was available in Canada in 2009.
