My car started to rust
I drive my car in the winter unfortunately so I found a spot inside the gas cap door where the sheet metal joints starting to rust. It sucks since the car is just a 2014, didn't expect that so soon, my wife has a 2010 Volvo c30 and no rust at all. Do you guys know a good place around Georgetown to get it fixed.
Nissan won't cover that. My nav needs update too, is it expensive to get it updated ? Thanks ! |

The NAV update is $149 USD and you can purchase the DVD online.
Are you the original owner of the Z? From personal experience (not my Z but another car), I noticed that once a car has been in a collision and repaired, rust will start to form. I don't know if that applies to your situation. |

Do you have a photo of the rust spot? If it's in the gas cap area, aka hidden, you could probably do it yourself if it is just some surface rust.
Small wire brush, some sand paper, and a quick spray to stop the rust from spreading. Even if you can get any of the big bits of rust off, you can spray on some rust inhibitor to stop it from getting worse. |

2014 Coupe does not show up, but Roadster does. I wouldn't think there is any difference. https://nissan.navigation.com/web/WF...Homepage-Start |

Thanks guys. I'm the original owner and the rust is hidden, you can see it but impossible to physically remove it, it's in between sheet metal when you open the gas cap door. I guess I will spray rust inhibitor and hope for the rust to stop progressing. Will also check for the nav. update, cheers !
