Think I'm going to have the car sent directly from delivery to get its Bra put on, so they will correct the paint prior to installation.

Micro dust is the issue, yes. Just hope there aren't too many issues with the paint.

Will only use the 2 bucket system for washing, but wasn't sure of what products are out there now. Been driving a 12 year old suv for a while so the baby days are over for her.

Thanks for sharing your system. Sounds good.

I talked to the shop yesterday and they said precisely the same thing!;correct and clay bar prior to installation,
Makes complete sense.

Can I ask how much of the car did you get covered? I would love to do the entire car, but out of my budget...

Mine has the front 1/3 of the hood, front 1/4 of the roof, mirrors, and back of the side skirts.

I wish my front bumper was done though. That thing gets hit by the most pebbles. Do the bumper! :excited:

Thanks. :tiphat:
Bumper for certain along with the same areas you had done. Think it's worth the investment.

She can't get here quick enough. Getting too impatient.:eekdance:

Bumpet is plastic but takes most heat. The hood wouldnt be bad either.

Or you can be me and get hit with a rock the size of a small planet between the windshield and roof. Shatter cracks and dented rood ftw!

Welcome to the Z world!!!

You will love this car!!

for Clear Bra, yes, do it ASAP you get the car...

but don't get the dealer to do it cos they just sub-contract to someone else to do it thus it's better to do it directly with the shop to save time, money and in case, after sales service.

i will suggest full bumper, full hood, partial fender, A-pillar and mirror.

If possible, the side skirt.

as for cleaning products, yes, MeGuiar's has the best products out there, Gold Class Wash and the Gold Class Liquid Wax are the best twins to go.

As for tires, go with Simoniz Long Life Tire Shine Kit, it's the best kit I've ever used on tires, (I just look it up and it's actually on sale at Canadian Tire right now, $10)

Holy crap!!

That's horrible, but sounds like MY luck.
All the time and energy to keep your ride sweet and then something like this happens....

Don't know about you, but something like that would just break my heart. ;(

Hope you and your ride are ok.

Hi and thanks. :tiphat:

Not my 1st z. That was away back "in the day"... Probably well before your time. Had 300zx back then and I enjoyed it so looking forward to this ride too.

Thanks also for the info on Meguires products. Brother in law in a bit of a Vette nut and he uses some of their products too.

Hopefully will post some pictures on here.... Whenever she arrives.
