Where can I get my brakes checked in toronto?
So I still have the squealing problem and I just want to get it checked to see if I need pads or rotors or both, if I have to unfortunately replace both then I was thinking of buying the stillen slotted/cross drilled rotors and my Z is base, not sport. Not sure which pads to get tho, car has 30,000 kms on it now, 2012 bought new

I'm trying to find a shop to go to as well to get them checked out. One shop showed me my pads about 6 months or so ago and said they look almost new bc there was so much pad left on them. They cleaned it, sound went away for a week and came back, I tried bedding it, I think that's the correct term and that didn't work

I had to replace mine at like 30k cause I had a vibration in my braking. Pads had over 30% life on the front and 40 on rear but replaced it all for POM. The pad ware is heavily depending on your driving habits. probably due to me warping it from a) washing after a hot run or b) driving through puddles to make wakes after hot runs. sigh... |

Sure why not, nothing wrong with it (if done correctly obviously) maybe consider an upgrade if shaping? better pads, upgrade rotors, upgrade brake fluid, ss lines probably more I am missing....... or go BBK if you got the $$$

I was in a predicament so did it all. I'm going to be swapping my pads to coni quiets and have my shop flush/bleed my brake/clutch fluid again since I did it last year. might wait until spring. few factors as mike mentioned. are you upgrading? what's your budget? are you planning on tracking? at the very least if you are replacing the pads consider swapping to higher end brake fluid (rbf 600 or something equiv/better). and might as well do the clutch fluid at the same time... about 3 bottels of rbf600 is what iirc. |
