Do Canadian Z's have a coating on chassis near strut bar ends?

I also have this crap all over my engine bay, I'll have to take a steam gun to it and see if I can melt it off.

Please report back how it goes.

If I were you, I'd start off steaming the coating on a painted metal part of the chassis to see how that goes.

Initially, at least, I would not apply steam to the large plastic cover over the engine. On that area I'd start off with warm water and then, depending on results, use increasingly hot water. IMO, when it comes to expensive plastics, better to be safe than sorry.

Good luck.

Sorry, by all over I mean all over the metal areas like the strut bar mounting location and on the exposed metal areas in the bay. Oh, also on the rad mounting bracket area.
