Do Canadian Z's have a coating on chassis near strut bar ends?

Now, that is definitely weird. If what someone posted about Russian-spec vehicles on the other related thread is true -- that they have some requirement for rust-proofing -- perhaps some Russian-spec vehicles were sent to Canada ......... maybe because there was an over-abundance of them in Japan. Maybe the sanctions against Russia have something to do with this, or even, heaven forbid, the tsunami that struck Japan a few short years ago.

But this is just speculation. I'll see what Nissan has to say. It wouldn't surprise me if they know zero locally, but somewhere back up the chain some Nissan persons MUST know exactly what's going on.
