If Canadian-spec car arrives in US-equivalent Touring trim, Americans will be importing them from Canada.
Seriously, US Touring model is US$3,530 more than base, so if we get all that equipment for our base price of $39,998, Nissan would go a long way to please its new customers.

So, let's speculate on the price of the Sport Package. It's US$3000 south of the border, so up here it should arrive around CAD$3,483. I just used 16% higher price since that is the difference between US Touring and our base.

That would put Canadian Touring with Sport Package at $43,481.

Let's see what happens. I can't be much longer before we get official scoop.

There's a well-deserving heir to the Z's throne. Available in Touring and Sport models, the 2009 Nissan 370Z allows drivers to play fun, sporty games behind the wheel. Moreover, the addition of a 7-speed autobox on the options menu is a testament to the seriousness of Nissan's technical approach.

Now retailing for about $40,000 (nearly $10,000 less than the 350Z), the value-to-performance ratio of the Z is back among the segment's best. The design might not be revolutionary (far from it, actually), but attention to detail is definitely on par with the long lineage of Z cars.

Did you go to the show? Any word on equipment/trim/options?

Did see the 370Z last Sunday at the Mtl Auto Show. It was a red one with the Sport package (19" Rays, rear spoiler, etc) but no Nav. The MSRP listed came up to something like 45K or so if I recall correctly and I believe that included a 1K for PDI. Which means the Sport package would be around 4K. The car was locked and Nissan staff at the show did not know more than what's circulating on the Net w/r to the Canadian version. They mentioned Spring/Summer availability.

I did like the 370 from what I saw on the Net so far and I still like it after seeing it in person even though red is not my color. It will make a nice replacement for my 350 in the Spring.

I've been to two Nissan dealers in the GTA and both have quoted me an unofficial rate of 6.9% (based on similar cars that are new this year [ie Altima Hybrid])

My suggesttion - go to your bank. The sweet spot for banks right now is around 3-4% plus since to the dealers it's just a cash purchase now, you have more room to - I hate the word - "haggle" a good price.

Sorry i needed to point something out. I work as a sales rep for toyota and unfortunatly when you pay cash/finance/lease/ your sister pays/ your brother makes no difference on room to move. The only time buying cash would help you is when there is a cash incentive given by the manu. Buying cash does not change the gross in a vehicle.
