Default Sad, but true...

I must report that because of the almost record early snowfall in and around the Edmonton area, that the 370 is now officially parked for the winter. Sad but true. Stupid weather! At my location west of Edmonton, we have had 6 inches of snow and about 4 inches has remained on the ground.

So..... I'll see the roads again in mid March to early April.

It's the powdery version of that clear cold thing in your drink.

And no, snow tires are not an option with me. She'll stay parked for the duration. I have a Civic that gets most of the commuter/winter duty.

Nothing. My Z is parked inside a heated garage. I start the engine weekly to keep the oil "flowing". Besides that, nothing.

(Except waiting for winter to end!! )

At least that's the checklist I would follow.

Move the car. Don't muck up the tires by leaving them in one position for the winter. Drive it around the block, at least. Put a trickle charger on the battery unless you don't want it to last more than about a year. And when you do start the engine, let it warm to operating temp and let it run for awhile after that to clear out condensation.

^^^^
Advice I got from a mechanic many moons ago.

Maybe I'm missing something here. I have never, repeat never had to "move" a car or jack it off the wheels to store it for winter. Our winters are long in Canada and in 25 years of storing vehicles through the winter, I have never had "problems" or "issues" with tires or wheels after storage. I'm not sure where you guys are getting this from (?).... it's really the first time I've heard of anything like this. Is it that I've always stored them in a heated garage?

Confused...

Been to the west coast a few times and I love your moderate temperature but I absolutely could not stand the 'one minute it's sunny, the next it's raining' climate. This is why I've hated this past "summer" over here because we had a very, very soggy summer. In the latter months, I hardly washed my Z because it would just rain the next day
