Swifts w/wheel spacers. Front tires hop during slow turns.
It's getting pretty annoying and noticeable enough to have a few different passengers ask me why my car was doing it. But basically my tires act like they're not "in sync" with each other during slow parking maneuvers. This causes some front wheel hop of some sort. I did get it aligned immediately after the swifts.

I bet it's rear wheel hop. I bet you have the sport package too.
OP, when you're turning at low speed your chunky tired with the VSLD will cause the rear tired to skip

but honestly when it has happened it really feels/sounds like its the fronts slipping on the pavement almost. also the tarred surfaced parking lots do it in the wet too.

and yea check and see how much tire you have because like I said above mine only did it when they were worn a bit. probably less than 40% tread left.

I say this since i'm on 100% stock suspension and I hear the slipping or hopping when I have worn tires sometimes as well.

it's a combo of bald tires, cold temps, and sometimes wetness that is when I hear/feel it slip. this is at near full lock as well.

i just went out and turned a few u's with vdc off, there was still something going on but I couldn't really tell if it was the tires or loose gravel.
I need to have someone else drive it while I look from outside. |

Low speeds and tight turning make the front tires feel like they are "skipping" across the pavement? Sounds like a normal case of Ackermann steering geometry

To some degree, yes. But it is particularly noticeable with the Z's (and other sports cars') wide tires. The Z is the first car I've owned in which I noticed it. But I was already familiar with the phenomenon due to family friend who owned a corvette. I hear the corvette forums are ripe with complaints about it.

It's nothing to worry about. This has been covered with other threads. Mine does it to when backing out of a parking spot.
