Sport & Standard Suspension

Are there any difference in the suspension components (springs, shocks, sway bars etc) between the sport and standard suspension on our Z?

I know that the brakes and wheels are obviously different.

My completely non-scientific opinion; it depends on the year?

I have a 40th (2010) which is essentially a purdy Sport+Touring. Husband just got a 2013 Sport+Touring. His ride is noticeably less comfortable from both the driver and passenger seats. My car compresses and rebounds at just the right times (for me), while his tramples over road imperfections without any spinal sympathy.

Of course it could also be that his or my shocks/springs were replaced at some point before we purchased. Regardless, there are most definitely at least 2 damper/spring variations.

That, or mine are near the end of their life and I like softer shocks? More questions than answers...

So this site lists base+touring and sport/40th as 2 different sections, but the part numbers look identical. I didn't examine every part, but I didn't see any reason for Nissan to list these as independent images when the parts are the same. Except, the 6 speeds have an extra brace?

So maybe originally, the different models had different shocks/sway bars/springs/blinker fluid/whatever, but now they just all use the same?

Now looking at the rear... no difference.

But no mention of Nismo on either page? Pretty sure those had higher rated springs and shocks.

The Nismo Z's sports/struts are different. visually the spring are red and the struts silver (base model/sport model are black). Not sure if the S-Tune differs from OEM Nismo 370z
