shout out to carbotech :)

just wanted to say thanks to Jr. over there. even if you guys dont run their pads, if you ever decide to hit them up they will respond right away and are very nice and giving. i got emails back from Jr. right away and no i didnt get free pads but i asked to buy some decals and he sent a whole bunch free of charge right away! i got 2 very large side decals, 3 smaller 3" x 14" decals and 2 smaller color decals. ive been on other manufacturer pages and little decals go for as much as $10 so thanks again to Jr!

Ya gotta love free stickers! I had the same thing happen with Sparco. I ask for 1 replacement for a damaged sticker. The rep sent me a dozen variety of nice stickers.

is this for street or track or both?

I want to try something different but Im not sure what to get. No track use for me, only street

I bought them for the track day at Znationals last weekend, then drove 8hrs home with them on. They work great, like all "race-ish" brakes they squeal and throw off way more dust than stock. I'd say they are over kill on the street for sure and I'll probably take them off for street use.

I use XP24/20 now.

Running on Cup 2 tires the XP24/20 is pretty good for my local track. I have a rear cage and full interior so my car should be a hundred pounds heavier than yours.

I see

On the track XP10 and XP8 for me as well on street tires. I've tried XP12 on the front and I couldn't really tell much of a difference and they wore a lot faster. Besides being great pads they are easy on the rotors.

I use XP10s (daily and track) as well and have no issues besides the noise and dust but thats to be expected. Eventually I'll switch to the 10/8 combo.

I use 12s front and rear but I don't street drive.

CT shut down production for a day once to make me a set of pads I needed for a track day the next day when I got my stoptech;s and the rear calipers were not the ones we expected.

synolimit 10-21-2014 05:41 PM

That a bad thing? Or good thing?

Mike 10-22-2014 06:30 PM

a great thing, they saved me from having to cancel a track weekend. Of course, I also spun and hit some gators that weekend and bent a rear camber arm, so I'm not so sure. It was only stock production they interrupted for me, no special orders or anything.
