SPL lower control arm bushings
So I just spent my morning installing these guys as my bushings were toast. Pretty simple to install but these things are loud. Ive only drove about a mile with them on so ill update once I put more miles on them.
Diy step one. Get the car in the air and remove wheels. Step two remove control arms http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14...45eb963bcf.jpg Step three press out old bushings press in new bushings http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14...477784614c.jpg Step four put the control arm back on http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14...bf7ad9e25b.jpg Step five torque everything down. Step six put wheels on and youre all done. Hope that helps lol..:ugh2: But in all seriousness I hope these things get a little bit quieter. It was a bit disheartening to do all that work and them be as loud as they are. But I need to put more miles on them |
You're a bit late to the party. I already did this.
http://www.the370z.com/brakes-suspen...uspension.html Did you replace both lower bushings. In the picture, it looks like you only replaced on rear bushing. You need to replace both of them for best results. And no, they don't get any quieter. ;) |
Ah I hadnt seen your thread before. And I only replaced the rear bushings on both lower arms. I wasnt exactly looking for handling gains, my oem ones were just trashed. I skimmed through your thread and found it funny that the shop you took it to had to use a torch and grinder. I was able to press them out with relative ease. Albeit with a 55 ton hydraulic press

Yea, I dropped them off at the shop. When I picked them up. They told me what they did. I throught that they was going to press them off too. Oh well.
