I think you're always safest to have an alignment done with a new set of tires. I just put on a new set of Michelin PSS and had an alignment

I think you're always safest to have an alignment done with a new set of tires. I just put on a new set of Michelin PSS and had an alignment done. Stockers were wearing evenly too but it was some peace of mind to know my $1500 set of tires wouldn't get jacked up early. My alignment wasn't too bad but I still think it was worth the $70 just to know for sure. Plus I had never had my car aligned after a year of some pretty hard driving.
