Rear wheel hop

not that i suffer wheel hop, with all this talk about that one rear diff mount bushing issues, i actually went under my Z and G last night to check

Let me tell you, that ish is nasty... when I was drilling a hole through it it exploded and it looked like I killed an alien

i think im going to have a speedshop do mine if mine ever explodes.
will swap the front ones too while they're at it.

There is some good info on wheel hop (have to sort through some garbage though) in a variety of threads on the forum, so you might want to do some reading as well. All I can say is I get wheel hop when I give the car too much throttle too early on launch. I control it by managing my throttle input better. I would hope with your recent mods that warm tires will virtually eliminate this, but if not, try backing off the throttle a hair when the wheel hop occurs.
i have gears and the 7at. full throttle, no wheel hop. i can't really launch the car but I redline 1st in like 2 seconds. don't know the meaning of laying off the throttle in our car :P

i have no hop in my MT's harder launchs, but then, im not smoking my tires either.

think it depends on how often you go sideways, not on transmissions, but the 6mt can definitely launch harder.

i didn't feel like i had wheel hop, but after changing the bushings i realize i definitely did because it is so much better now.

I'll do it and I'm in the IE you would be like the 8th or 9th one I've done including critical's once lol (I offer driveway install at your place you supply the parts and jack and I will bring my tools. I can do the finned nismo cover + whitelines in about 4 hrs.)

replacing OEM bushing with OEM bushings doesn't count :P so scratch that from your list
