Am I late to the party on this? I couldn't find any threads on this.

Looks new to me

So basically they admit the others are junk and snap and they needed to produce a stronger one?

Jaybo666 08-18-2014 06:11 PM

would like to know, too, i just ordered the old ones from Kamispeed. Might want to change my order:icon14:

Jaybo666 08-18-2014 06:14 PM

SPC's description is "For Track Use"

Dude dont cheap out! It's suspension which equals your life. Get SPL and do it right the first time. We're talking what? $100?? You own a $30,000 car!

redline10000 02-22-2015 11:12 AM

Anyone try these yet? I am not trying to go cheap but would like to use these for autox and dd. I worry the spl arms are a bit overkill for my application whith their spherical bushings.

RanRich 10-19-2015 10:47 AM

Back from the dead..

Anyone have these yet? On Zspeed it appears they come with lockout too so it saves $150+ compared the the SPL, and as a DD/autoX car I think the SPL may be overkill.

No one? I'll give an extra discount to anyone who wants to do a write-up/review on them... PM me if you're interested.

Not too many here are willing to buy something that is known to break.

This is just a sample. ;)

I always over build just to limit failures and I know Rusty knows this, but I used to live my life off road in a 4X4 truck and there is no such thing as over building. If you have the cash...get the best that you can or leave it stock. You don't want to screw with suspension as the consequences are significant.

Isn't that the "old" version? I'm offering someone to review the new xAxis model since there isn't any info out there yet. I know several guys running SPC that haven't had any issues. Some people just can't afford to go all out for parts like SPL.

As much as I agree with you, not everyone does has the cash to get the top of the line parts.

I don't know. After that thread. I just put SPC out of mine mind. Never kept up with what they are doing anymore. And stuck with the SPL parts.

I here you and for the most part they may be fine as the odds are in there favor, but what if you are in that small percentage over the norm when there are better parts available. Anyway, we all take calculated risk it's just a matter of degree.:D

I think these are different from the original ones I had bought. My bushings went out fast and I got these XAxis bushings to replace them. They have been holding up well so far.

PharmDZ 03-22-2017 10:00 AM

Anyone else have experience with these? My shop has had two pairs of these arms have major clearance issues.

OptionZero 03-22-2017 02:05 PM

SPL and who gives a **** about anything else?

I forget if it was here or on one of the FB pages (or both) but I've seen the same thing reported before.

What are the "class requirements"? Regardless if you pick these or the SPL version, they're both complete replacements. Is there a cost limit? (I'm just being curious)

But, like OptionZero said (although not in the same manner), I wouldn't compare SPC to SPL. I didn't want to pay the extra at first but after reading of all the issues between these, the older version and their rear arms I just held off a few weeks and paid the extra $$

While I totally understand meeting class requirements, I'm going to ignore any rule that causes me to put a part that is known for failure issues on my car just to race in a certain class. My personal safety is more important than that.

Exactly why I'm upgrading to beefier xAxis arms. Can't use spherical bearings in my class. My shop spoke to SPC and theres a FAQ on their website on a slight modification needed to install the new arms properly. I don't know why they didn't know this when I called them up, but they're on now and provided plenty of additional adjustment over my old SPC arms.

I guess I'm lucky, but 7 track days and up to 100 autocross events + 90k miles I've had 0 problems with my old SPC arms. New ones I can expect to only be better. I am not saying the old ones are anywhere near the quality of the SPL, that's for sure. I would have gone with them in an instant. These newer spc arms do seem like a big jump from the last design though, and that's even coming from the shop owner and alignment tech who I go to (R/T Tuning). They work on Formula Drift cars, and a lot of other racing series. I respect their opinion.

See above... different type of bearings. Spherical isn't allowed. It's dumb, I know. I guess I was lucky to not have any issues with my previous arms. Ran them for almost 4 years.

OptionZero 03-23-2017 11:35 PM

find a different form of racing that doesn't have stupid rules like that?

i aint putting that **** on my car
