Andrew they're $550, don't short me. And you need my springs too. You can't run anything but a swift racing spring with the spl mid links. The mid link only excepts a 2.5" ID spring which a swift spec r is not. Check the pic.
As said everything is installed correctly. You install a lockout kit after you install an adjustable arm. You don't install the lockout kit on the OEM spring bucket or else you'll have zero way to adjust toe and you'll have to ways to adjust camber which would be pointless. |
ok so there in the right spot, I got toe bolts an the lockout kit confused.
spl said that's right. |
How did the ride change. Did the big bouncing on rough roads go away?

I'll be going for 0 toe, 0 camber. Car already cambers and toes in like a MOFO during acceleration, and if I need to go track it, I'll dial a bit of camber in. |
yes it did get a lot less bouncy.
I didn't like those nismo springs. it's smoother when driving regular but when u push it on cornering it handles it like a champ and feels very nice. idk how much of that is the new camber settings or the spacers tho |
Question on this before I start an installation on the SPL camber arms.
Sorry if this has been answered, i just get a bit confused when reading and SPC keeps getting mentioned. Is there anything else needed? Will the OEM toe bolt work fine? Or new toe bolts are needed for the SPL camber arms, along with enlarging the hole. |
depends on how low u want to go.
for example I used swifts for about an 1" drop and with rear camber arms, front control arms and the lockout kit I could get almost all my alignment in the green. however to get my toe a little better I still need spc toe bolts and to enlarge the holes. maybe someone else knows better tho |
I have the swifts also, but i wanna find out if i needed or not.
If i don't, then i can possibly make it a DIY. If i do need, then i would take it to the shop. Since i dont have the tools to enlarge the holes for the toe bolts. |
since there only $30-40 I would get them, I know I am.
do u NEED then I would say no but I wanna dial down my toe a little more then it's alowing me to right now over time u would save $$ in tires by getting the toe bolts tho |

swift and spl parts + spacers question?
your welcome, also so u know I've spent countless hours and days researching coilovers swearing I would never get spring and especially not swift cuz it's not low enough...
can't tell u how wrong I was and happy I am with the swifts. not saying coilovers aren't awesome and have there place but for me an what I'm looking for as a temp solution there great. at least until I can get the accuair set up and have the best of both sides. |
