Hi, I'm in talks with a producer of high quality brake systems, prices which are enclosed with prices for distributors. Willingness to order one set of 380 mm. He wanted me to know your opinion on this topic.

Your life is dependent on 3-4 things in your car.

Tires, wheels, brakes, airbags. Don't cheap out on any of them.

I know that, but as we know, nowadays 80% of the stuff is produced in Asia, unfortunately.

The spare rotors are priced similarly to the Z1 two-piece kits, but the BBK setups are really inexpensive. If I was going to do my calipers as well, I might go with a more well known brand.

The question that I have is if any of the big names source their stock from this company and just re-brand them. Also, if that is the case, are these brakes from the stock that did not make the cut, so rather than toss them, the company slaps on some paint and sells them for cheap?

They don't look like any other calipers I've seen... And Brembo and Akebono should be smart enough not to do that.

KEMA ENTERPRISE CO., LTD. | Database of China Suppliers at www.supplierku.com

They look to be one of the Chinese clone BBK kits that are all the same, just re-branded.

I must admit that perhaps seduced on the set. I myself judge of their quality, I have seen many such products and later known brands logo on them :)
* But first Supercharger :)
