How many are using a true type coilover in the rear?
Hey everyone,
Wanted to get an idea of how many of you are using a true type coilover in the rear. I'm looking at coilovers and can't decide if I should go with an oem style or a true style. I know a true style will be cheaper and easier to align but am afraid the car won't have the support in the new location of the spring. Any thoughts? Anyone use both types before? Race teams use true type. That answer your question?
I've got money down on true type 2 ways. I can report back soon though. Why do you think it will be easy to align a true type? The suspension has nothing to do with it. In OEM type you need to get spl mid links so you have complete toe control and true type you need spl toe links for full toe control. Granted toe links are way cheaper! Long as you have camber arms you'll be all good to align.

Haven't heard anybody having problem with true type in the back in the 350, 370, genesis coupe community. If you worry about having the shock mount carry the weight load of the car, you can strengthen the rear shock mount, experienced chassis/suspension type shop can do that.
