hey guys im looking into coilovers for my z . im in no rush im looking to put on prob in like 4 months so im jus putting out there a few im looking at. obviously KW is the best coilover setup but i heard that KW doesnt drop that low. i want the car to be as low as the picture i posted below but still perform well and handle good around sharp turns. stance i heard some forum members say that its bad quality, bc i heard theyre good and drop low but dont take turns very well and isc i read on here that its just a budget coilover and that it sucks...its only 800 bucks i mean price is awesome but quality...not so sure. i need help on which one of these i can go low and still have good performance thanks in advance.

I believe bc's you can upgrade to swifts and i've heard good things about swifts....also how about fortune auto they seem good too but idk how low they drop

you can't have it that low and perform well in corners. decide which one is more important for you. Going that low and actually having any semblance of performance would require a lot of custom parts and probably some frame modifications.

I don't know where you heard stance is low quality but my pro comps are awesome and I punish them twice a month at autox. No leaks, accurate damper rates, swift spings, external oil reservoir's, and if you want to go low you can go low as phuck. I can't speak for the ss+ but the pro comp 2 are competition ready and $75 cheaper than th kw v3.

What car did you buy for? The website only shows two sets, the base and the base with the added helper spring.

nevermind, i googled and found your post here about how you had them made in 7 weeks. any info on price? i see 350's are $2500 retail with about $2100 dicounted online.

What made you choose the stance over the KW's?

Yup if you want to go crazy low KW is not for you. I'm almost maxed out in the back but still have about a finger gap. I know stance and bc drop lower than KW but I really enjoy my KWs and would recommend them.

The fact that i have more adjustability, bigger external reservoir, adjustable gas pressure, true type, swift spring option, and cheaper. I researched alot before i purchased them talked to a few people and shops. Also the ones i went with are not the same dampers as their street coilovers they are the competition dampers on some of thier race cars/ drift cars. I had them custom made to my specs since they didnt make them YET for the 370Z.

I don't understand them. I've never seen a shock worth a damn not have two adjusters on the damper body. All springs need some preload. That's the first adjuster. But then you need a second to move ride height. The kw3 will only have 1 ride height. If you lower the car with the 1 kw3 adjuster you will lower the car but the spring will bounce all over place every time the suspensions unloaded in a sharp corner, you go 3 wheels, hit a small jump etc. kw3 isn't worth a damn to me unless the ride height is perfect and the cars 100% corner balanced. If it's not, which I'm sure it isn't, you lose preload once you start adjusting the collar.

Hmm ok makes sense need to keep researching and find what will work for me best. I'm starting to think something more simple like Konis and Swifts lol
