Default Euro-tuned shocks too stiff

I know all the performance drivers are gonna think I'm nuts, BUT my new 2014 with the sports package is a lot stiffer than I would prefer. Any one ever changed the sports shocks for standard base shocks? Or is it really out of the question?
Thanks

It's a sport car. Get softer springs then if you can find them. Or coils set to full soft. But then you'll be driving the wrong car, might as well get a WRX or ralliart.

My previous 370z was the base model, without the "euro-tuned" shocks, and I enjoyed quite a bit of spirited driving. I drove the Ozark Mountains,4 trips, AutoX, one time at a track. True sports car feel.

I dont see why you couldn't put base shocks on. They do work in concert with the rest of the components though. The low profile tires also add to the rough ride. The Conti DW's have a soft sidewall and would smooth the ride a bunch at the expense of the steering feel. Its your car so do what you need to to make it yours!

Same springs, you won't feel a difference.

Your car is still new give it some time to break in your shocks and springs will start to soften a bit once you get to past 3k-5k miles. It took for a while before i appreciated the ride of the car since then cant stop driving it.

Best one is change the Oem Bridgestone tires to a yokohama or hankooks big difference in ride and road noise.

Swift R springs is also a good option. No need to change the shocks its designed best for the sports package.

have you checked your tire pressure? try 35psi cold if you haven't. if it's still too stiff, then i suppose you can swap dampers, or try some continental DW. those are pretty plush for summers. congrats on your new car.

I'm sure you can find 50 people who would trade base shocks for the sport ones.

I am definitely going to give it the 5 k miles, and then talk to the Z specialist at the dealership on my first service. Kinda expensive to buy new tire this early, tho. I'm not even at 1k now.
Thanks for the positive reply's. And you smart a**es".........

Are they non-progressive springs? Different rates? Different dampers? Both?

I hated the OEM springs and shocks far too soft for my liking -- I liked the Nismos better (non-progressive springs and too stiff...), but eventually went with Swift springs and Koni yellows and couldn't be happier.

i found that the stock base needs a tad stiffer front swaybar. once i got that on there (swapped to kangaroo bar), the car is very stable even on uneven dips and humps. it is perfect for street.
