Default Another alignment question

When I got my alignment after my Eibach drop I had my shop install the cambers arms and do the alignment. I made the camber arms extend out to be the same length as stock, bolted them in, and then I watched them adjust the camber by rotating the factory toe bolt only.

I was just about to correct them and say they should be adjusting the length of the camber arm itself when I saw their machine numbers light up green exactly where I wanted toe and camber. Camber went from -3.0 to -1.8 and toe was pretty close to 0..cant remember exactly

So I left and havent had any problems since....but....

Didn't they do that wrong and got lucky? What am I not understanding here?
