Another alignment question

When I got my alignment after my Eibach drop I had my shop install the cambers arms and do the alignment. I made the camber arms extend out to be the same length as stock, bolted them in, and then I watched them adjust the camber by rotating the factory toe bolt only.

I was just about to correct them and say they should be adjusting the length of the camber arm itself when I saw their machine numbers light up green exactly where I wanted toe and camber. Camber went from -3.0 to -1.8 and toe was pretty close to 0..cant remember exactly

So I left and havent had any problems since....but....

Didn't they do that wrong and got lucky? What am I not understanding here? :bowrofl:

They probably... Didn't...
Not sure if they thought that was the bolt for camber, but...

Toe and camber go hand in hand on this car. You adjust one, get more of the other. So technically they didn't do anything wrong or out of order or incorrect

That is interesting. Thanks for the response!

I put a lockout bolt in on my camber arms. Leaving the eccentric bolt on the spring bucket for toe adjustment. It seems redundant to have adjustable camber arms and the eccentric bolt. And the eccentric bolt can slip.

Where can I get a lockout bolt. I agree it needs to only be one adjustment for that

Z1, Concept Z, and I'm pretty sure most of the other vendors too. Usually around $60-$70 for 4. You only need 2 at this point. To use the other 2 you need replace the OEM spring bucket with mid links or toe links that are adjustable. Some guys have made their own lock out bolts too.
