Question Need some advice on Koni Yellows

Hey guys,

I recently got offered some Koni Yellows on a very good deal. Now can anyone tell me if these are anygood? I want my car to handle better. And have no clue on what springs I should go with as well. Any advice on these would help thanks.

They seem to be the shock of choice here when going with springs instead of coil overs. And I'd like a set too. Swifts are the spring most used probably. I have Swifts and love them. Eibachs don't lower you much, and any lower than Swifts you will be scrapping a lot, IMO. How much can you get them for?

If you'er going for the slammed look go with H&R. Currently have them with konis and have no complaints. Otherwise i'd go with swift springs for subtle drop with increased handling.

PICS? I want a little drop and I mean little... maybe 1/2-1" at most. And how are the Konis? did they improve the handleing?

There are pics in my profile, I'm on Swifts. 1.25" f drop, 1" r drop. You may want Eibachs, they have the least amount of drop, around .75" I think.

Absolutely -- the stock springs and shocks are way too soft and squirmy.

Last measurements:

F = 26.69"
R = 26.81"

Total drop from OEM:

F = 1.18" drop (just shy of advertised 1.2")
R = 1.18" drop (over advertised 1"!)

Car looks and feels really, really good -- about 1 finger of fender gap between tire and wheel arch.

Stock sport wheels and tires with 20 mm spacers in F and 25 mm in rear.

Alignment set at -1.65*camber in front, -2.38* in rear and +.1* toe all around.

I only needed rear arms, and apparently getting around -2* is doable without them, or so I was told.

Bear in mind that you will see a greater change in handling characteristics by stiffening the chassis and going with beefier anti-sway bars.

I have a lot of bracing on my car -- 4 point ladder brace + the Nismo brace kit and Nismo F & R sways.

Night and day over stock.

Wonka, don't listen to these yahoos. You're getting bad advice. Konis are godawful and you shouldn't run them. Since I'm a really nice guy, I'll give you what you spent on them and you can just mail them to me so you don't have to worry about it anymore.
