Car stutters braking at high speeds
So yea if in going like above 70 and brake normally my wheel stutters. Is this normal? Is it a warped rotor, alignment? Any ideas?

Okay you have a couple choices.
1. Warped Rotors = Only an issue if you race your car 2. Pad deposits = Totally possible 3. Alignment = Only an issue if it happens ALL the time. Not just under braking. |
Not trying to bump in, but what causes pad deposits?
Oh, hey, hi there! http://www.the370z.com/brakes-suspen...-deposits.html |
That was my follow up question lol

Most likely you were doing some very hard braking, stopped the car put your parking brake up or had your foot on the brake pedal for a long time while at a light or something.
This is enough to cause your pads to melt, which creates excessive "pad deposits" on your rotors. The absolute sure fire fix is to change your pads and resurface your rotors, doing some hard braking or a brake pad bedding procedure may or may not help. It's highly unlikely you actually warped the rotor. |
Either rotors need to be resurfaced or wheels need to be balanced.

your front rotors are warped if the steering wheels shakes if you feel it in your butt and feet your rears may also be warped. it does take much to warp the stock rotors
|
Wait so my steering wheel shakes. so my front rotors are warped!?
Why though? I dont see a reason for it to be warped. its been cold as balls. |

What most people feel in rotor shake are deposits, not warpage. "Warped" rotor replacement is the most over-sold fix that shops do. |
