I'm running on 285/19 rear and 265/19 fronts with intake and exhaust. I also have the VLSD and let me tell you its easy to get the tale out so I can only imagine 245's and no LSD. I think you received some good advise regarding tires and LSD and that should be your focus in that order.
I've done a bit of reading on the LSD front and I've heard really good things about Quaife. Limited Slip Diff: Z1Motorsports Quaife LSD

I know you guys are right about wheels and tires but god I don't want to deal with that pain in the ***! I've never done it for a sports car but I've done it with trucks and two out of the three time I didn't get it right.

Are you talking about fitment issues? Then take the easy way out and buy a set of takeoff Nismo wheels. Light, strong and can fit a lot of tire.

No one. If they make your wallet ache, buy a set of sport wheels. Still strong and light, but a half inch narrower. You can still run at least a 265f/295r.

I really want to stay on 18s, I'm going to do it but I still hate the wheel and tire thing. It sucks to get it wrong on a truck but I can't get it wrong on a track car. It may sound stupid but changing wheel size is about the last thing I want to do even if I know I need to.

For a track car, 18s really win. There's so many more tire options, and they're all cheaper.

Your right it just looks so awkward with such a small diameter when the 370z wheel well is so massive. Never understood why manufacturers are designing vehicles with such large diameters.

For a street car, you're right. For a track car, that little bit of aesthetics costs you money and tire options.
