yah, definitely try new tires first and see where it takes you. GL!

I'm running on 285/19 rear and 265/19 fronts with intake and exhaust. I also have the VLSD and let me tell you its easy to get the tale out so I can only imagine 245's and no LSD. I think you received some good advise regarding tires and LSD and that should be your focus in that order.

I've done a bit of reading on the LSD front and I've heard really good things about Quaife.

Limited Slip Diff: Z1Motorsports Quaife LSD

I know you guys are right about wheels and tires but god I don't want to deal with that pain in the ***! I've never done it for a sports car but I've done it with trucks and two out of the three time I didn't get it right.

Are you talking about fitment issues? Then take the easy way out and buy a set of takeoff Nismo wheels. Light, strong and can fit a lot of tire.

Yes I've ended up with rubbing, I looked up Nismo wheels today and everything I found must have been made of gold, who makes a knock off?

No one. If they make your wallet ache, buy a set of sport wheels. Still strong and light, but a half inch narrower. You can still run at least a 265f/295r.

I really want to stay on 18s, I'm going to do it but I still hate the wheel and tire thing. It sucks to get it wrong on a truck but I can't get it wrong on a track car. It may sound stupid but changing wheel size is about the last thing I want to do even if I know I need to.

It's a pain in the ***, but it'll be the biggest difference you can really make.

You wont go wrong with Forgestar F14's they are very light and cheap plus they look great in my opinion. As far as fitment just ask one of the vendors here that sell the Forgestars and I am telling you...You wont have fitment issues. Especially not with 18 inch diameter. Personally I would do 19's. The wheel wells on the 370 are so massive that you would really need to push the envelope on extreme offsets to get a fitment issue.

For a track car, 18s really win. There's so many more tire options, and they're all cheaper.

Your right it just looks so awkward with such a small diameter when the 370z wheel well is so massive. Never understood why manufacturers are designing vehicles with such large diameters.

For a street car, you're right. For a track car, that little bit of aesthetics costs you money and tire options.
