Even lighter rotors??

Why does it look like it's wavy on the outter face and still a full round rotor on the inner face? That's definitely not the shield.

Why does it look like it's wavy on the outter face and still a full round rotor on the inner face? That's definitely not the shield.

It is the heatshield, I've seen it on a coworkers RS5.
