Axle slop anyone?

I've been noticing (recently) a clicking sound on the driver side rear - and usually only as I come to a (slow) stop. Occasionally I will hear it as I am taking off from a dead stop. I suspect either - pads slapping around in caliper (i hope not)... OR play in the axle (also hoping not). Anyone else have this issue? Thanx __________________ *F.I.
