I have a click and I thought it was an axle. However after jacking up the car and rotating a wheel it sounded more like the hub. I then took off the wheel and the rotor and rotated the hub and there was no sound. I put back on the rotor and the click came back.
The hub is not secured to the rotor, there are just wheel studs going thought the holes in the rotor. The tight tolerances between the hub and rotor are supposed to keep things quiet but in my case where I am taking the rotors off all the time the clearances have loosened up. If I rotated the hub by the wheel studs I could see the studs hit the rotor as I moved the hub back and forth causing the click.
SPOHN and Bossless1 like this.

Had my wheel painted this week - which means I had all four wheels off of the car. Axles looked good...rotors...everything looked good. Couldnt find a problem. Finished the wheels, put them back on...no click! Just wish I knew what it really was...thats all.

There was a SB on this for the 350z, and the 370z suffered the same fate, you need to grease the axle splines, that's it!
