Rear caliper bolt
Where can I get one? Are they available at Lowes?
I followed the DIY brake rebuild and snapped a bolt torquing it to 80 ft/lbs. edit: I need the caliper hardware bolt that holds the two sides together. I found it on nissanraceshop for $113... yikes! |

I'm going to check tomorrow. I have a feeling it's going to be $12 - $15 or they'll tell me that I can only purchase the caliper hardware kit.
|
Be EXTREMELY careful you get the EXACT same bolt! I can't emphasize this enough. I once saw a BMW lose his caliper under heavy braking at Sebring due to a wrong bolt. The BMW was parted out after we picked up the pieces.

Go to the dealer. Make sure you ask them to give you internet pricing. Big difference.

I agree with the dealer, but if you get the thread size and pitch and bolt length or whatever, I can get one for you from my local specialty hardware store, and I'll ship it out tomorrow
PM me |

The place has 20,000+ different screws with different heads and hardness and lengths and everything under the good damn sun, so no worries, AND I gotta go tomorrow anyways, lol

I ordered the bolts online -- I couldn't find any specs on the bolts. Thanks for the offer DE!

Oh no. I bought it for $6 from the dealership.

FYI...Our O'Reilly's auto part store just started carrying caliper bolts. I needed one for my Santa Fe on a late Saturday DIY and they had the exact replacement in stock. Four buck for a pair.
