Did I lose a wheel bearing or heat shield rattling?

I have an 09 with 26 k miles. Recently my car started making a noise whenever I make a turn with my wheel. It sounds like metal on metal rubbing noise. It seems to be louder on right turns and left. I can get it at any speed and it will do t even with engine off. At first I thought it was a wheel bearing, now I think t might be a heat shield or something as I get a rattle from under the car whenever I close the door too . Does this sound familiar to anyone or is my car just falling apart?

strange because I also had my front right wheel bearing going bad last year with the car having 40 000kms (25000miles)
It was replaced under warranty ;)

bad wheel bearing on the expressway sounds like a DC10. very errie sound.

i dont remember hearing rattles from shaking the car with bad bearings.

I think 99% of these issues ended up with needing a steering rack replacement

Mine was similar to what you describe and it ended up being one of the front brake dust shields vibrating. I wedged a piece of rubber in it and sound vanished.
