Cheap ebay Lowering Springs
Has anyone tried these? For under $80 bucks shipped, this would cover my install cost easily for what it would cost me for name brand ones. There's always a catch though.
1 5" Drop Suspension lowering Springs Spring 09 12 Nissan 370Z Z34 G37 V36 Black | eBay |
Get ready to get burned
Personally I'd cut my springs before eBay crap went on |
OP are you serious? Even if I owned a Civic I wouldn't put them on just because of the cost. That cost screams garbage, and suspension to me is as important as brakes/tires. Definitely not worth going the cheap.route.

Oh for ***** sake. Really? $80 eBay lowering springs?
|
Do it!
:stirthepot: No really, please don't. Your car deserves better than that |
Seems legit. Go for it, it's just springs.
|
Why don't you just go to a muffler shop have them heat up the coils to drop it? :stirthepot:
But seriously save your money and don't waste it on JUNK! Your Z doesn't deserve it. |
OP, go to the classifieds and buy a set of used name brand springs. I'd explain why you shouldn't use the eBay ones, but to be honest, "$80 eBay springs" should tell you everything you need to know.

@OP do it if you want it to look good but drive like absolute ****. Really though, it's not worth the money or effort to put those on. Save up for some good stuff, you'll be thankful in the long run |
But they are "Speed Daddy's"!!!
The below statement is actually listed on one of the sellers other ad's which shows EXACTLY the same springs, with a different image background and different price: "If item is questionable, please consult your local professional/mechanic before making purchase." Amen to that! |
They can't be worse than Megan Racing suspension products. Go for it!!! It's only 80$.

Good Luck!

Lol the spring rates are half of OEM. That should be a 1995 Chysler New Yorker ride right there! Very comfortable and like floating on a cloud. Enough body roll to scrape the doors in a turn, but very comfortable!
|
Ghetto. Buy something out of the classifieds.

I have never known anyone who ran ebay cheapo springs
Probably not a good idea since quality springs aren't that expensive anyway |
I think you got your answer.....If you get them GL!

Even if they were a legit set of springs that drop rate is way too aggressive and as others have said it will destroy the stock shocks.

Seriously though, you spent $30k+ on a sport car but you cant cant shell out $300 for Swifts? I would never consider running those cheapo ebay springs on a hyundai, let alone a Z. C'mon man! |

The work required to change the springs out is a lot. Save up for proper springs. Swifts would be the way to go. I got mine used for 250 shipped. Very much worth the cost and the drop looks great and rides even better than stock.

lol

This spring very famous, good for man!

lol I just looked @ the listing and was coming here to post that the spring rate is hilariously low. I was gonna say Dodge Neon, but Chrysler New Yorker is even better! You should get them and take some videos of the car bouncing off the bump stops, it'll be awesome and hilarious! |
Basically what everyone is trying to say is, no, don't do it. Your car deserves better.
