Default Need advice on coil overs

First, I will start by saying I am not an expert on this. I would like some advice on what suspension can be best for just a nice drop and still have a comfortable ride for street driven. Now this is a stock 2009 370z. I am thinking on putting KW Variant 1. From what I have been reading, it seems like the way to go. Also, I am planning on getting the SSR professor MS1 wheels. I quess my questions will be Is this coil over kit the way to go? Is there any certain specs to run the wheels on?(i.e Wheels spacers?) or if anyone has recommendations that can share form past experiences with this. Look I am newb, been out of the game for some time now looking to get back into it.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I guess depends on what you use the car for. I track mine ocassionally at the Nurburgring and travel in the autobahn at 120+. I have the BC BR type and car is dropped a lot. With the spacers, I believe depends on the rims size that you want to run and also the size of the spacers. I know chrislicks had issues at the track with spacers in the past, just my 2 cents brother.

If you just want a mild drop for a daily driver, a lot of guys have used Swift springs and have been happy with that. I myself have BC coilovers on my DD but I sit pretty low. From what I hear KW are quality coilovers but don't go as low as other brands but if your not looking to slam your Z you should be good. If you look through some of the wheel threads you should be able to get a better idea of what different specs looks like, but if your ordering a custom wheel like SSR I don't feel that you should need to run spacers, just proper offsets. Hope this helped a bit.

You should get your drop done before you get those wheels. Once you are lowered you'll be able to get a better idea of what to run as far as offsets and/or tires. For coilovers, what type of use would they be getting? Are you going really low? You said you thought about KW and for street use? A good spring and shock combo should be good but some people like the adjustablity factor of coilovers. Maybe take a look at Tanabe S-0C's. Their coils are dual-chambers which help extend the life of the shock and are fairly priced.

I'm on BC's right now and they seem to be fine, lowered about 1.5" and ride is a little stiffer. I enjoy though not my DD. Most comes down to spring rates which I think are 10/8 F/R which is not as stiff as some other's available.
