Sport upgrade kit is THE cheapest, and it ain't exactly cheap

I have a set of FRONT Akebono Calipers Powdercoated 40th Anniversary Red by "Mike". I also have stillen J-Hook rotors that will come with it that I would sell cheap. Well cheap for akebono and j-hooks. PM me for a price.

^^ yup that's right sir,

I spent almost 2k on my kit from z1 and let me tell you it's worth it. Night and day difference from the base set up.

I say save your money and be patient til you can afford a BBK (Big Brake Kit). Keep in mind that "good looking" brakes wont save you that 1ft difference of braking distance you might need someday.

Good thing you weren't going to paint your floating calipers red. As far as cheap calipers, used Akebonos are pretty cheap.

And depending in what you are going to do with the car. You won't have to spend a hole lot on a BBK if your just going to be using it for a street car.

40th ann. calipers from the dealer are the same price as regular sport calipers. Though its probably cheaper to find someone selling a used set and powder coat them if necessary.

sorry but two words that do not belong in the same sentence are the words "cheap" and "brakes". was already mentioned the most affordable without sacrificing anything is the sport brake upgrade or better yet, the rattle can method. or get a set frome someone selling theirs.
